A Hitchhikers Guide to Health and Wellness
There are many different, healthy nutrition and exercise plans out there. How do you know which one is best for you? Which plan is going to satisfy your mind, body, and your spirit all at once? Which one(s) will fuel the life that you want to live and allow you to pursue it without being held back by health-related issues? As a health and fitness professional we have tools and assessments that assist us in taking (most of) the guess work out of answering these questions. But for people who don’t live, breath, and study health and wellness – finding these answers can be tough! And oftentimes, pretty overwhelming. How many times have you started on a new plan (nutrition, and/or exercise) and seen great results for the first few weeks, but then get deterred a few weeks to months down the road because of illness, extreme fatigue, or sheer frustration? I know I have! Numerous times! And I’m a so-called ‘professional’ ! I want to help you answer these questions for yourself.
I’ve known that I wanted to create a blog for a while now- I have lists on lists of topics, half written posts, and ideas just ready to be put out into the world. But I have been struggling to write that first, attention clinching post! What demographic of people do I want to inspire and what do they want to hear about?!
It wasn't until I had conversation with a friend about Human Design mapping, I came to the realization that I was not put on this earth to inspire people, but to serve the already inspired. If someone happens to get inspired by what I have to say GREAT! But my intentions are to serve you, the already inspired, and provide you with quality, trustworthy information in regards to all things health and wellness! For those who want to lose weight, change their body shape, overcome a health challenge or optimize an already healthy lifestyle, I want to help you find the proper tools and resources to reach your potential.
During the Covid19 shutdown I took the Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Course provided by Paul Chek. In this specific course you learn to write an owner’s manual of sorts, on yourself. You learn how to eat, move, and be healthy. It is suggested that you practice the tools and habits learned for at least six months before you begin teaching them- so in this way, I have only just begun! This is a journey of trial and error, of exploration, of learning, and of discovery that I am truly enjoying. While I am nowhere near the end of my six months of holistic living, I wanted to invite you to join in on the adventure – if you care to tag along.
This is merely a guide- YOU must put the work in to heal yourself. I hope through this journey you can come to the same realization that I did: Its all connected. Your gifts, your circumstances, your purpose, your imperfections, your journey, your destiny. Its moulding you. Embrace it. Embracing our true selves gives us courage to live the life we've always imagined.
Welcome on my journey to everlasting health. Welcome to The Lilac Lounge.
